TV Shows for Food Lovers

I recently read the 21 Movies for Food Lovers from Buzzfeed and I must say, although I LOVE movies, I sometimes don’t have the attention span for them. I am more likely to find a TV show that strikes my interest especially if it is food related. That is why I created the list of my top four favorite tv shows to watch about food.

Top 4 TV Shows for Food Lovers

1. Fresh off the Boat – A show about a family of Chinese immigrants coming from Chinatown DC to Orlando Florida, because the father decided to open an American-styled Southern food restaurant. It’s a funny take on culture, immigration, and food.

You can watch it on Hulu

2. Pushing Daisies – A show about a pie maker who has a special gift, bringing dead things back to life with a touch of a finger. Bad news is, when one life is saved another is taken away. He ends up bringing back his childhood love and accidentally killing her father. The story is told in fairytale like fashion and Kristin Chenoweth graces the screen as a perky, blonde woman who is obsessed with the pie maker. I heard about this show when I was in high school, feels like a million years ago, but didn’t end up watching it till just a year ago and have been re-watching the show ever since. It is no longer on TV, but it is still a great buy if you are looking for a little romance, craving something sweet, or love beautifully written stories.

You can get it on Amazon or your local library if they carry it

3. Cupcake Wars – I’m pretty much obsessed with this show. It’s creative, it’s funny, and competition heats up fast. Great show for a relaxing night of TV watching and wine sipping.

4. Hell’s Kitchen – If you are into cook-offs, dramas, crying, and screaming tv shows then this is the perfect show for you. Season 14 has just started and I have a feeling that it’s going to be an intense couple of weeks.
